Landfill Pipework for LFG and Leachate

Conduits for landfill gas and landfill leachate are installed with a gradient towards the edge of the landfill body. Every gas collection well is separately connected to the circular pipeline via a gas manifold.
Conduits may be installed on top or below the landfill liner. They are joined together at manifolds.
Special attention must be paid to pipe joints to avoid the risk of disconnection. In order to avoid water pockets in the pipework, the condensate should be collected at the lowest point before it is drained from the system.
The condensate is trapped at the lowest point, then eliminated.
